Is membership free?

Yes! Student, Junior, and Ordinary memberships are 100% free.Only higher-level tiers (such as Research, Executive, and Institutional) have small annual fees to support our work.

Do I need to be African to join?

No. AFR is open to anyone who cares about sustainable African food systems, regardless of their location.

Can children or students join?

Yes!
Junior Members (under 18) need parental consent.
Student Members (high school, college, vocational) can join independently.

Is my personal information safe?

Absolutely. We only collect the info needed to verify your membership. All data is private and never shared.

How long does membership last?

Your membership is valid for one full year. You can renew, cancel, or change tiers at any time — no strings attached.

Do I need to be a food expert?

Not at all. AFR welcomes curious learners, everyday citizens, professionals, and students. All you need is passion and purpose.
